Ben, you were always the funniest, loudest person in the room and I have wonderful memories of you, specifically afternoon beer bongs and X-rated poems on Christmas Eve. I feel privileged to have known such a kind, caring, hilarious man; a true gentleman. I’m heartbroken for your family and close friends. Through them, your soul shines on. RIP Ben Latham. 17th Dec 2018

I will always remember Ben as a kind, caring and respected man. He had time for everyone at Summit and would often chat to me about how my house buying process was going and that the hard work was yet to come! I laugh thinking about that conversation and how he was right, of course, like he was right about many other things I sought advice about. Ben will be sorely missed and I will treasure the memories of him. Deepest sympathies to the family at this sad time. 17th Dec 2018

You've always had my upmost respect Ben. A person of true integrity throughout. I feel very lucky for having known and worked with you and I'm grateful for everything you've done for me. Don't think I've forgiven you for making me eat that raw chilli though! You've given me great memories and influence that will stay with me forever. Thank you Ben. 17th Dec 2018

As Sarah’s mother in law I sadly didn’t get the chance to know Ben well but by happy coincidence we shared two wonderful family occasions together as part of the Latham “clan” - Pauline’s 70 birthday celebrations in Speakers House ( also Harry’s birthday), and then a family get together organised by Charlie, an Easter break in Kent with all the family again , a happy if slightly eventful few days! Through all those days my impression of Ben was of a loving and gentle family man , so kind and obviously adoring Tracy and the children. Dear Tracy I can only send you my love - there are no words. 17th Dec 2018

Met Big Ben on Ben Johnson's stag weekend... somewhere on the South Coast. I had the privilege of his company as we were in the same team for the beach Olympics/It’s a knock out. I remember being hurtled up the beach at significant pace in the wheelbarrow race by the big man. Followed by one or two quiet pints into the late hours. Fantastic fun and lovely bloke. Rest in peace my friend. Ben L. 17th Dec 2018

A really great guy.....fortunate to have spent the last year working with him and, along with a huge degree of diligence and deep thinking into all topics, he was always up for a completely new challenge ....or a beer - and normally both! Will leave a big gap....my very deepest condolences to his family and all at Summit. 17th Dec 2018

So many unforgettable memories of an amazing friend; school exchange trips to Malaga to nights out in Derby & at your parents house during A-Levels & university summer holidays... the legendary Duffield Xmas Eve fancy dress pub crawls to golf tours in Puerto Banus. Funny, loud, often the centre of attention & with an incredible capacity for consuming food & drink extremely rapidly. But at the same time, gentle & caring - loving a cuddle & often (after a few beers) a little cry. Love you mate; things will never be the same without you. You leave a very big Big Ben shaped hole in our lives x 17th Dec 2018

It's always hard to see a colleague leave this life. He is now resting and at peace and he will hope that we remember him fondly and in good spirit. I didn't get a chance to work with him, however, he was part of the family and sincere condolences to his family and friends. Your memories will live in our hearts, rest peacefully my dear friend. 17th Dec 2018
