I did not know Ben well. We met through work, and on several occasions my job was to try to extract some of the complex messages in his head about the work he did - then simplify them for the common man. The words that come to mind to describe those conversations are "intellectual" (him not me), and "benevolent". He was kind, patient and so very likeable. I wish his family and colleagues with whom he worked for so many years many condolences.

Such sad news. Was absolutely shocked to hear about Ben. The last time I saw him was at Brough station and he was on his way to Manchester to fly out to Boston to meet a new client. Always remember him taking me to his favourite pub in Prague for a steak and a few beers, and he told me that it was a special place for him and Tracey, and always his first port of call when returning to Prague. RIP

Still a shock - Ben was one of life's few special souls you get to meet. A true gent, you will be immensely missed as a dear friend and as a colleague.
RIP

Ben was a great man. He mentored a young team at Summit with the kindest spirit and deepest integrity, everyone looked up to him as a role model with immense respect.
Thank you for the good times, Ben.
Deepest condolences to all of Ben's family and Summit.

We are both deeply shocked and saddened by the terrible news and our heartfelt thoughts go to Tracey, Poppy & Harry, and the whole Latham family.

Still can’t believe this. What a loss. Ben, you filled the room with your life spirit, one of very few people I’ve known who could do that. You made a major contribution to our work together, always managing to bring a wisdom and a kindness even to hard decisions. I will miss you, but i will remember always your smile, your joie de vivre, your calmness, your prsesence, and all your facebook posts that made me hungry or thirsty but would still bring cheer.

Im very sorry to hear the sad news. Ben was an amazing person and a true inspiration; it has been a pleasure working with him during my 3 years at Summit. May he find the piece he seeks.
